Manual VMX 80W
Manual VMX 80W
Castrol Manual VMX 80W is a manual transmission fluid of advanced design especially developed to provide easier gear changes over a wide temperature range. Castrol Manual VMX 80W is particularly versatile in cold weather. It reduces shift effort at start-up, as well as controlling transmission noise and idle rattle at operating temperatures.
Application
Castrol Manual VMX 80W is a manual transmission lubricant. It should be used in manual transmissions of most car and light commercial vehicles (LCV’s) requiring GL-4 performance, where improved low temperature shift performance is required Front Wheel Drive Vehicles: Virtually all modern transverse engine cars Mitsubishi: Castrol VMX-M 75W-85 is our prime recommendation for Mitsubishi vehicles. Ford: 3 ,4, and 5-speed transmissions GMH: 4 and 5-speed transmissions Mazda: Manual transaxles and transmissions Nissan: Manual transaxles and transmissions Toyota: 4 and 5-speed transmissions and transaxles Motorcycles: 2-stroke motorcycle gearboxes (gives low drag and very good anti-wear performance) Castrol Manual VMX 80W is recommended as an alternative in MANUAL transmissions where Castrol TQ-D III or Transmax M has been recommended, and where automatic transmission fuid, or SAE 30, 40 or 10W-30 motor oils are specified. Note: Castrol Manual VMX 80W is not recommended for automatic transmissions or hypoid differentials. It is preferable NOT to mix or add Castrol Manual 80W with any other transmission or transaxle oils otherwise its performance will not be maximized. Always ensure the correct transmission oil (as specified by the vehicle manufacturer) is used by referring to the vehicles’ owner handbook or Castrol Lubrication Reference Guide.
Advantages
- Quieter transmission operation and easier low temperature gear shifting improves driving experience
- Improved gear tooth and bearing durability reduces the risk of breakdown and extended component life
- Effective lubrication over a wide temperature range
- It can be used as a low drag gearbox oil in 2-stroke motorcycles with separate gearboxes
